She no longer needs our services

A homeless woman came off the streets to live in her own apartment, and she also received health benefits from her employer. When her health benefits kicked in, she joyfully told us, while waiting to see a doctor at our Samaritan Clinic, "This is my last time here. I no longer need y'alls services."
Praise God!  She knew Jesus was the One who brought her out of homelessness and set her feet on solid ground.
That's our goal - to see lives transformed by Jesus Christ as our homeless friends come off the streets and are able to live on their own without needing any of our services.

A train accident jumpstarts a new life

This was one of the first segments of the "Love In Action Minute" we ever recorded over five years ago, and this message is worth repeating over and over again.
After being hit by a train, a homeless man totally surrendered his life to Jesus. Rick Denney became a walking miracle of God, and shared Jesus with everyone he met until the day he went home to be with Jesus in Heaven.
Rick was a big part of Love In Action. We miss Rick and will always love him and tell his amazing testimony of his transformed life in Jesus Christ.

Jesus Gives Hope to the Hopeless

"I was ready to give up, but then I came to Love In Action," a former homeless woman told us. All praise be to God! She surrendered her live to Jesus and we baptized her. Not longer afterward, Jesus healed her and provided a home for her. Hallelujah!

Dare to Hope reaching victims of human trafficking in Dothan

Human trafficking is real and it happens right here in Dothan, Alabama. Thankfully, there is a wonderful ministry called Dare to Hope who is reaching and helping victims of human trafficking and those being groomed to be trafficked.
Gia Hughes, founder of Dare to Hope, joins Ken and Martha for this edition of "Sunday Morning with Love In Action" to talk about human trafficking in Dothan and how Dare to Hope provides hope through Jesus Christ to the victims of this evil crime.

Preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world to unreached people groups is being obedient to our Lord's Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20, "And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'"
